AIMS Cameroon has trained a total of 216 students (205 under the Taught Master’s degree and 11 under the Co-operative Master’s degree) since its inception in 2013. We are currently about to graduate the first cohort of Co-op students of the 2017/2018 academic year (3 female and 8 male), after a structured method of combining academic courses with scheduled segments of practical experience in appropriate industry.
Students benefit from the experience of renowned visiting lecturers who teach for a period of 3 weeks in turn. Capacity building is provided by tutors who are always available on campus to ensure a 24-hour learning environment.
With degrees in mathematics, engineering, physics, computer science, as well as actuarial sciences, our 2018/2019 cohort comprises of 47 students (19 females and 28 males) enrolled in the Co-op (10) and Taught (37) Master’s program. Combined, our scholars are nationals of 11 African countries, namely: Sudan, Kenya, Nigeria, Cameroon, Botswana, Zambia, Ghana, DRC, Madagascar, Ethiopia and Chad. All students are required to volunteer for at least 20 hours during the academic year.
This will strengthen their leadership skills as well as their commitment to invest in Africa.
