Capacity building is provided by tutors who are always available on campus to ensure a 24-hour learning environment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fifty-Eight (58) new students, 45% of whom are women, gained admission to AIMS Cameroon to take a 10-month Master\u2019s Degree course in Mathematical Sciences during the 2021-2022 academic year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 2021-2022 Cohort comprises 39 Cameroonians and 19 international students from Chad, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Sudan, and Zambia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 58 new students have been enrolled in the three new streams of the Structured Master\u2019s Degree Program. While 22 students will study Fundamental Science, 17 will study Data Science, and 21 students chose the Climate Science stream.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AIMS tuition, study materials, and housing are fully funded through a generous scholarship. Its residential nature allows more contact time between lecturers and students than is available in a typical university setting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students typically study two subjects for three weeks each, with each day comprising morning lectures followed by problem-solving and computing sessions each afternoon. Additional tutorials and special classes are held in the evenings when students also usually complete their assignments. AIMS Cameroon is a bilingual institute (English and French), and we have students, tutors, and lecturers from various nationalities. All lectures are in English only. Language training is offered in English and French.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les \u00e9tudiants et tuteurs d&#039;AIMS Cameroun r\u00e9sident sur le campus de Crystal Garden. Ils occupent des chambres simples avec un espace de vie commun et une buanderie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c0 AIMS Cameroun, les \u00e9tudiants ont \u00e9galement la possibilit\u00e9 de nouer des relations les uns avec les autres par le jeu, ce qui leur permet de renforcer leur r\u00e9flexion et leur appr\u00e9ciation pour une diff\u00e9rence dans les processus de pens\u00e9e.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tous les \u00e9tudiants sont tenus de faire du b\u00e9n\u00e9volat pendant au moins 20 heures au cours de l&#039;ann\u00e9e universitaire.
