His work includes the study of branching processes, population dynamics, and epidemic modeling and more recently, on statistical and mathematical methods that are relevant to drug development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to serving as a professor of Biostatistics at the Department of Mathematics at Chalmers University of Technology, he was a visiting professor at UC Santa Barbara and the University of Melbourne. He has also maintained regular collaborations with mathematicians in Morocco.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He worked part-time at Astrazeneca for many years, where he was involved in both line management and drug development project work. Today, he continues to offer consultations to<br>biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies through his own company, Atlasbiostat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He is a chartered statistician recognized by the Royal Statistical Society. He has also served as president of the International Biometric Society\u2019s Nordic Baltic Region (IBC-NBR) and the Swedish Society of Medical Statistics (FMS).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ziad Taib\u2019s research focusses on stochastic models in biology and medicine.
