On December 4, 2023, the Media Club of AIMS Cameroon organized a vibrant and impactful event to Celebrate World AIDS Day. The occasion aimed not only to raise awareness about HIV\/AIDS but also to showcase the solidarity of students through various activities, including impactful poetry performances and awareness campaigns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Indeed, using creative arts through poetry performances by students were the highlight of the event as they were crafted to convey messages of support, awareness, and destigmatization of HIV\/AIDS. Moreover, during the event, various awareness campaigns were conducted, disseminating crucial information about HIV\/AIDS prevention, transmission, and treatment. The campaigns aimed to dispel myths, reduce stigma, and encourage responsible behavior among the student community. This was done by students putting on white T-shirts with AID symbol on it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The World AIDS Day event was a resounding success, effectively blending education, awareness, and artistic expression. The poetry performances, in particular, demonstrated the students’ commitment to creating a compassionate and informed community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
