He later moved into the industry for two brief years where he work with the Ministry of Transport as the Head Database Administrator in a project to computerized driver&#8217;s licences in Cameroon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He returned to academia and obtained an Msc. in Theoretical and Applied Physics at AUST-Abuja in 2009 (the pioneer class). He immediately moved to Canada on scholarship as a Perimeter Scholar International (PSI) and graduated with an Msc. in Physics from University of Waterloo &#8211; in partnership with Perimeter Institute of Theoretical Physics in 2010 (again, the pioneer class of the PSI-program).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He obtained his PhD in Material Science and Engineering (actually he worked entirely on theoretical condensed matter physics &#8211; spintronics) from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Saudi Arabia in 2016 and from April 2017 to June 2021, He was a postdoctoral Researcher in the Centre of Emergent Matter Science (CEMS), at RIKEN, Japan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He is currently an Assistant Professor of Applied Physics in the School of Advanced Science and Engineering at Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan. Concurrently, he holds a visiting Research Scientist position at CEMS, RIKEN and Visiting Assistant Professor of Physics at both AUST-Abuja, Nigeria and AIMS-Limbe, Cameroon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His research is based on some aspects of spintronics such as static and dynamic properties of magnetic textures such as domain walls, skyrmions, Hopfions, in the presence of spin-orbit coupling.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Collins graduated with Bsc. in Mathematics and Computer science at the University of Buea in 2006.
