At the University of Ghent, his research was focused on applying machine learning and statistical methods on multi-omics datasets from eukaryotic and prokaryotic genomes to gain insights into the translation landscape to aid in the (re-)annotation of novel protein-coding regions. After his PhD, he continues to get practical experience in applying machine learning and statistics to gain insights into consumer behaviours.
