Focused On Encryption To Protect Africa\u2019s Data From Theft Threats<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If Africa’s promising future is becoming more certain by the day, protecting the continent’s data in complex global information systems is a priority for AIMS Cameroon 2018 alumna Sudanese-born Malaz Zainalabdeen Marzoug Ahmed. As one of the 342 brilliant graduates of AIMS Cameroon currently seeking solutions to the continent’s most urgent problems, Malaz Ahmed is focused on Encryption.

“It is the most powerful weapon to secure data and protect it from theft. This is also what Africa needs so that it should not be fragile and its systems cannot be hacked or affected by the theft of data,” says the 2017-2018 Mastercard Foundation Scholar, now residing in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia where she is preparing to pursue her Coding studies in Canada.

“I am reading online to prepare myself for the IELTS exam because I want to continue my study career. I had already contacted late Professor Marco (may God have mercy on him), and he advised me that if I really wanted to further my studies in coding, I should prepare well for the IELTS exam and then apply for scholarships to study for Ph.D. in Canada because it is the best country in this field.”

Like most graduates, Malaz Ahmed is grateful to AIMS Cameroon. “AIMS played a big role in what I am now because she refined my personality and prepared me for that well, and I became a lot more determined to achieve my goals and not to stop,” she says.

Workshops Malaz attended included AIMS Cameroon’s workshop in R software, from 21th to 23rd of December 2017, and AIMS Cameroon TOEFL workshop, from 18th to 20th of December 2017. She also participated in the International Conference for Mathematics and its Applications at the University of Buea from 12th to 13th December 2017. Malaz was also a participant in the Introduction to Computer Algebra and Applications, AIMSVolkswagen Sifting Workshop, organized by AIMS and the University of Kassel (Germany) in Douala-Cameroon in October 2017.

Before her arrival at AIMS Cameroon in August 2017,  Malaz had obtained a B.Sc Honours in Computational Mathematics at AL-NEELAIN University in Khartoum-Sudan, in October 2015. She continued as a part-time Teaching Assistant at the Faculty of Mathematical Sciences and Statistics, in Khartoum -Sudan, from November 2015 to November 2016. From November 2016 to July 2017, Malaz was a part-time Teaching Assistant in the Department of Computer Science at the Sudan International University in Khartoum-Sudan.

After graduating from AIMS Cameroon in August 2018, Malaz returned to the Sudan International University in Khartoum-Sudan, where she worked as an Administrative Assistant in the Admissions Department from April to June 2019. In 2020, she moved to her Business Shop in Khartoum and did Sales Marketing.

“When the Covid-19 pandemic appeared in the world, I stopped working for a while and later worked from home in the field of e-Marketing and went to Saudi Arabia. Unfortunately, I did not find an opportunity to work there because Saudi Arabia became unavailable for foreigners to work in it, to encourage Saudi employment. I decided to travel to work in another country. I actually got an administrative job in Kuwait and was appointed, but the events grew stronger and faster than me. I discovered at the time that I was pregnant with my first child, so the doctor asked me not to travel often to maintain my health, but I decided not to give up.”

Mastering programming languages such as C++, Python, Sage math, R, Mathematica, Maxima, MATLAB and Maple-soft, Malaz is determined to do coding in Canada. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
