While at AIMS, Patience’s goal was to model the impacts of climate change on Photovoltaic Power production in Africa by means of simulation using FERRET. Her results showed that weather factors such as cloud covering and solar irradiance will vary in the far future years, but Africa will remain a fertile ground for solar energy harnessing.
After AIMS, Patience participated in the Industry Immersion Program where she acquired skills in business management. Patience then proceeded to obtain an internship program with the Limbe Thermal Power Plant, where she is implementing mathematical models in evaluating the impacts of the malfunctioning of the Heavy fuel preheaters on the efficiency of the power plant.
