Prof. Kwessi is a native of Nkongsamba in the Littoral Province of Cameroon. He left his home country after completing his master’s degree, in part because he was destined to discover the world. His journey overseas started in the South of France, in the Savoie region, on the border with Switzerland. Eddy then went to Trieste, on the Adriatic sea by the border between Italy and Slovenia. In his own words, going to America was just a matter of time and his journey in the States started in the most beautiful village in the plane, a.k.a. Auburn, where he earned his PhD degree. He needed “big and better” so Texas was the next part of his journey. He is currently a Professor of Mathematics at Trinity University (since 2022).
Prof. Kwessi likes teaching, and his favorite class to teach is Real Analysis. His research is in Statistics, Functional Analysis, Dynamical Systems, and Neuroscience. He likes going to the gym or walking around campus and if he is not in his office doing some work, he is at home doing some work with his family. Furthermore, he enjoys traveling, discovering new things, cultures, languages, etc.
Last but not least, his favorite quote is from Dr. Martin Luther King: No work is insignificant. All labor that uplifts humanity has dignity and importance and should be undertaken with painstaking excellence
