While at AIMS, Christian studied drug resistance in Malaria and built a method to estimate frequencies of drug-resistance-associated haplotypes characterized by two SNPs in malaria, and multiplicity of infection (MOI). His aim was to have a clear understanding of the origin and spread of mutations responsible for drug resistance and have reliable methods at hand to monitor resistance.
Christian is currently a Research assistant and PhD student at Hochschule Mittweida, Germany.
