While at AIMS, Minette’s essay was focused on the dynamics of the tight-binding model, by looking at the equation of motions of molecules and of the electrons. She investigated two distinct solutions to these two coupled nonlinear equations, namely localized nonlinear solutions describing a pulse for the electron amplitude coexisting with a kink-shaped lattice deformation on one hand, and periodic nonlinear solutions which were obtained in terms of Jacobi Elliptic functions, on the other hand.
After AIMS, Minette worked at the African Centre of Meteorological Applications for the Development (ACMAD) for 01 year and 2 months under the respective programs: Mathematical Science for Climate Resilience Internship Program and the AIMS Small Research Grant in Climate Change Science. She is currently pursuing a Master’s program in Physical Oceanography and Applications at ICMPA,Benin.
