Daphne Tatenda MACHANGARA

Originally from Zimbabwe, Daphne graduated from the National University of Science and Technology (NUST) in 2014, with a Bachelor of Science honours degree in Operations research and statistics.
She joined AIMS Cameroon in 2017 as Cooperative Mater’s student. While at AIMS, she did a 6 months internship at Regional Hospital Limbe (RHL) Cameroon, where she did a research on waiting time for patients and applied queuing theory and the prediction aspect of machine learning using python and other statistical tools. The outcome was appreciated and some of the recommendations made
were implemented by the hospital.

Daphne has a strong interest in the application of Data Science in Health and is an active member involved with voluntary communities like IndabaX Zimbabwe, SisonkeBiotik and Deep Learning Indaba.
