AIMS-Cameroon will join the Mathematical community all over the world on May 12, 2021 to celebrate the Third Edition of Women in Mathematics Day. The Goal of the Day is to inspire women everywhere to celebrate their achievements in Mathematics, and to encourage an open, welcoming and inclusive work environment for everybody.

May 12 was chosen to commemorate the birth date of Professor Maryam Mirzakhani, the first woman and first Iranian to win the Fields Medal in 2014 – the most prestigious award in Mathematics. Maryam is the only woman who has won the Fields Medal since its inception in 1936.
