While at AIMS, Markdonal reviewed three mathematical models in order to quantify the parameters that underlie T-cell proliferation dynamics: Smith-Martin, Cyton and the Age depending branching models.

After AIMS, Markdonal obtained his PhD from the University of Buea (Cameroon) and he currently works as Lecturer at the University of Bamenda, Cameroon.
