While at AIMS, Bertrand produced a Maxima program to compute closed forms for a large class of Laurent-Puiseux series of hypergeometric type.

After AIMS, Bertrand defended his Ph.D. thesis on May 27, 2020, at the University of Kassel (Germany). He is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Nonlinear Algebra group of Bernd Sturmfels at the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences, Leipzig (Germany).
