While at AIMS, Ignatius deployed multigrid methods to efficiently solve anisotropic elliptic problems arising from physical phenomena; compared the effect of the various relaxation schemes considered on the basis of efficiently smoothing high frequency error components and short wavelength components of the error produced by the approximation of the exact solution using the multigrid method; and generalized the amplification factors and smoothing factors of the relaxation schemes considered to the anisotropic case in a close form.
After AIMS, Ignatius completed an Mphil (Master by Research) and is currently a PhD student at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
