Joseph Junior Penlap Tamagoua

Cameroon

Taught Masters, 2021/2022

While at AIMS, Joseph’s research was entitled “Modeling the Dynamics of a Forest Environment: Role of the Water Cycle”. The preservation of forests is one of the objectives of sustainable development and maintaining the health of our woods ought to be one of our top objectives. In line with this, Junior described the dynamics of forest ecosystems using a reaction-diffusion-advection mathematical model by considering some relevant factors like climate change and the dangers of desertification.

Joseph is currently a PhD candidate in Applied Mathematics at the University of Côte d’Azur in France, working on plant pathology with focus on plant health protection, biological control and crop protection.
