MOHAMED ELFATIH Ahmed Omer Hady

Sudan

Taught Masters, 2016/2017

While at AIMS, Jin his masters essay, Mohamed investigated a model of micro-insurance in Africa. His aim was to develop a discounted expected utility model of consumption by members of a burial society and use this model to determine the optimal premiums and waiting periods subject to solvency, lapse, and participation constraints. He implemented the proposed algorithm for computing insurance premiums and perform numerical experiments and case studies. Moreover, he developed a model in a continuous-time setting that captures the household’s income shocks instead of the discrete-time setting already exist in the literature “

Currently, Mohamed is a PhD student at the BTU Cottbus, Senftenberg in Germany.
