Some of the industry partners who had offered the internships were an integral part of the defense committee. The committee was made up of a minimum of 4 persons: The examiner, The Daily Supervisor, the second assessor, The president of the Jury.
Some members of the defense committee for the first students to present: At the center of the Table, is the President of the Defense Committee, Prof. Dr. Mama FOUPOUAGNIGNI.
The President of the Defense Committee, Prof. Dr. Mama FOUPOUAGNIGNI chaired the events in which the Co-op students demonstrated how they used mathematical concepts to solve real problems in their respective industries. In presentia were: the Academic Director, Prof Marco Garuti, International experts like: Prof. Georg Bader, Prof. Jane Utton and Prof Charalampos Chanialidis, respectively form the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg, Germany; Warwick University, UK; University of Glasgow, UK. Examiners and supervisors include experts from Cameroon State Universities and world class lecturers from France, Ghana, Italy, South Africa, UK.
This training is a reconfirmation of the AIMS-NEI mission to propel Africa’s brightest students to their ultimate potential by devising a program where they can immediately apply knowledge gained in the real world, after a year-long intensive which inadvertently produces problem solvers for our continent.
