Prof. Werner Varnhorn obtained his diploma in Mathematics from the University Bielefeld, Germany, his PhD from the University of Paderborn, Germany and his Habilitation from the Institute of Technology, Darmstadt, Germany. He is a full professor at the Mathematics Department of the University of Kassel, Germany, where he was the dean of the faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science from 1999—2002.
