Prof. Tony Lawrence

Prof. Tony Lawrence holds a Ph.D. in Statistics from the University of Leicester. He hasbeen in the Department of Statistics at the University of Warwick since Autumn 2004. Previously, he was at the University of Birmingham as head of Statistics & Management Mathematics, after being Reader, Senior Lecturer, and Lecturer in Statistics. He has served as a Vice-President of the Royal Statistical Society and Honorary Secretary of its Research Section and was Chairman of the West Midlands Group 2005-2015. He is a fellow of the American Statistical Association and an elected member of the International Statistical Institute. His Research Interests include Statistical Aspects of Chaos and Synchronised Laser Chaos Communications; Statistical Modelling in Financial Time Series;Reversed Chaotic and Stochastic Time Series Modelling;Likelihood-based Regression Diagnostics and Influence;Engine Mapping; and Applied Research.
